Roman Shade Sizing Guide

December 3, 2021

Roman shades are a great way to dress up any room. To decide the size you need for your window, use the charts below as a guide.

Safe Zone Easy Spring Shade Sizes

Calculating maximum sizes for cordless shades is not an exact science. The chart below is our best estimate for a normal drapery weight fabric and a standard lining. If measurements are outside our Safe Zone, please contact us.

  • COM Fabric Shades – [email protected]
  • Operating System Kits – [email protected]

Larger shades can be made, but you run the risk of the spring not being able to handle the weight or length. The minimum width of 27” is not negotiable due to the size of the spring.

Caution: Blackout lining, interlining, and upholstery weight fabrics will reduce the effectiveness of the spring.

Safe Zone Motorized Shade Sizes

Calculating maximum sizes for motorized shades is not an exact science. This chart is our best estimate for a normal drapery weight fabric and a standard lining. If measurements are outside our Safe Zone please contact us at [email protected].

Larger shades can be made, but you run the risk of the motor not being able to handle the weight or length.

Caution: Blackout lining, interlining, and upholstery weight fabrics may reduce the effectiveness of the motor.
